DANTAK family along with college lhotshampa students
celebrated the Sri Krishna Janmashtami in DANTAK mandir near college, Kanglung
on 5th September 2015.
“Sri Krishna Janmashtami is a day of victory over
evil. This event has been traced to be celebrated since thousand years as per
Hindu intellectuals and wits” said Pandit Shree Motikhar Timsina. He added, “I
am blessed to attend this ceremony as one of the most Joyous and pious
occasions in my psyche”.
People believe that Krishna Janmashtami was started
around 5242 years ago when the universe was brightened by Lord Krishna and
brought peace to the creatures and all living beings.
“Krishna Janmashtami is one of the most celebrated
festivals in Hindu. It usually celebrated round 12am because Lord Krishna was
said to be born at 12am”, said Mr.Dhan Bahadur mandir coordinator Physical
science 5th semester.
According to Mrs. Mani Kumari Biswakarmi (Teacher at
Dantak Primary School),”it was over whelming as Sri Krishna Janmashtami is
celebrated in a grand unlike other year”. She added as a guest, we were
received warmly and everything was organized systematically which I really
appreciated”.
“It was as wonderful as I did not expect that sort
of organization from Sherubtse students’ side in co-ordination with DANTAK.I
think this sort of practice should be carried on in-order to preserve our
culture and tradition. There was full co-operation among the students and
DANTAK people. I would like to thank all the Sherubtse students who were
actively engaged to make this occasion successful”, said Mr.T.N Dhital (lecture
at Sherubtse college).
“It was over all a very interesting and enjoyable
celebration that was coordinated by the students and DANTAK people together”
said Mr.Mahendra Dhakal BPC engineer at Khangma, Kanglung.
“As usual, we clubbed ourselves into groups and
started observing the day. We started at 5Am and ended at 2Am of next day. I am
very happy that greater aspects are achieved with strong rapport among students
and blessed to celebrate Lord Krishna’s birthday. I hope to continue with
better deeds and plans to make supremely effective”, said Mr.Hari Narayan
Timsana, BA Dzo/Eng, 3rd semester.
“I felt very
happy because we could celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna in a grand way
and as a vice coordinator, I should say that all the devotees were actively
participated and made the programme successful. I would also like to thank all
the engaged students including DANTAK people and hope the same spirit in
future, said Mrs.Dil Kumari Rai, BA dzo/media 5th semester.
