Celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami






People of Dantak celebrated the Sri Krishna Janmashtami in Dantak mandir near college, Kanglung on 17th of August 2014.
 “On the auspicious occasion of Lord Krishna’s 2541th birthday, I wish all the devotees a good luck and best wishes”, said Mr. Madeo Prasad Kafley Eng-Geo 5th semester. He added,’ this is one of the most important occasions, so my message to my friends is to continue in the same spirit in future ’. .
People believe that Krishna Janmashtami was started around 5241 years ago when the universe was brightened by Lord Krishna and brought peace to the creatures and all living beings.
“Krishna Janmashtami is one of the most celebrated festivals in Hindu and people celebrate to bring peace and happiness in the world .It it usually celebrated round 12am because lord Krishna was born at 12am”, said Parsu Ram Acharya BSC.Life.Sci.5TH semester, mandir coordinator.
All the dantak family, interested students from the college and some lectures joined together to celebrate the Krishna Janmashtami.
“I felt very happy because we could celebrate the birthday of lord Krishna in a grand way because it is rare in college. I am happy to see many devotees’’, said Gita Maya Sharma BSC. Physic and Math 5th semester.
Hari NarayanTtimsina, BA Dzongkha and English, 1st semester said, “the fact of this joyous day is not only to serve oneself and lord Krishna with lots of auspicious food but reality deals with the prayers to all sentient beings.” He added,” after reaching here I was really happy because I could at least pray for the well beings. Anyone can worship and attend the program”
The program continued till 12:30am. Devotees stayed singing the spiritual songs and waiting for the lord Krishna’s birthday till 12:30am.
